Sukhumvit Map - Bangkok Maps
 While
the Silom road area is mostly a place for first timers and casual tourists,
the Sukumvit area is the place for the ones with a better knowledge of
the town and the long time residents.
The atmosphere is less chaotic and more friendly, the bars are more open
and invite for a longer stay and a bit of conversation with the girls.
The guys trying to induce you into temptation are less and also less intrusive.
Less shopping but food and accommodation are better and cheaper.
Sukumvit is a long road offering a lot of choice in department stores,
tailor shops, restaurants travel services and entertainment. Many things
are going on on the main road, but much also in the small sois departing
from it. The 2 better known sois are Soi Nana and Soi Cowboy, but almost
every one has something interesting to offer. It is a large area and it
would take a few days to visit it for good.
